Jadyn Davis is one of the biggest names in the class of 2024. As the number one prospect in North Carolina and the No. 2 quarterback from his class, Davis is on nearly everyone's radar. However, only five teams remain in the hunt for his services under center.

The rising senior out of Providence Day School in Charlotte, North Carolina, recently announced his top five schools, as well as his decision date. Davis narrowed his list to Clemson, Michigan, North Carolina, Ohio State, and the Volunteers. As far as where the Vols stand in these five schools, it is a bit more unclear. Davis announced he plans on making his final decision publicly this Thursday, March 31.

Being from Charlotte, the Tarheels had the upper hand over everyone else. With Clemson also being in the Carolinas, they are also top players for Davis. With this being said, the Tigers will have Cade Klubnik in 2024, while UNC will be losing Drake Maye to the NFL.

In terms of pedigree, Ohio State likely presents the greatest appeal to Davis. 247Sports, despite all of this, has Davis crystal balled to Michigan. With limited quarterback depth, both now and in the near future, the Wolverines do make sense.

However, even with Nico Iamaleava, Josh Heupel and his new-wave offensive scheme must be a major consideration for Davis. He described his relationship with Heupel and offensive coordinator Joey Halzle as "amazing."

He went on to say, "the atmosphere at Neyland Stadium is unmatched. I was there when they beat Alabama, a night I'll never forget. It's always an unbelievable experience when I'm at Tennessee, and I love everything about the Volunteers."

Merely getting into the conversation with Davis helps. Again, Iamaleava is the program's future, and Heupel hasn't shied away from reminding us of that. Despite that, Heupel continues to make a concerted effort to recruit the top national quarterbacks each cycle.

Getting this far into the process with Davis signifies that Tennessee will continue to recruit the position at an elite level with Heupel at the helm. It doesn't matter what the quarterback room looks like, or the offensive personnel Tennessee carries; top quarterbacks believe in what he is selling.
