"This is quite the honor, and I couldn't be prouder to join such a prestigious group in the Texas High School Football Hall of Fame," McGuire said. "Over my career, I've been blessed to work around so many talented players and coaches, and I can guarantee I wouldn't be here today without the effort they poured all collectively into our program while I was a Cedar Hill. I can't thank all those young men and coaches enough."

During his 14-season career at Cedar Hill High School, McGuire took a Longhorns program that hadn't won a playoff game before his arrival and turned it into one of the state's most successful programs.

McGuire took the school to the playoffs 12 consecutive years and won three state titles and one runner-up finish in that time. Under McGuire's guidance, Cedar Hill posted a 141-42 record that included nine bi-district championships and seven district titles.
He was previously inducted into the Texas High School Coaches Association Hall of Honor as part of its 2020 class.

While at Odessa High School, Allison was an All-State quarterback before his impressive career at Texas Tech. Allison carried the ball for 1,140 yards and threw for  1,115 as a senior while earning All-America, All-State, and All-Region honors in the process. Allison then moved on to Tech and led the Red Raiders to the SWC title in 1976 after a 10-win season.

Allison then moved on to coaching and had a 30-plus year career as a college coach and is currently the executive director of the Double T Varsity Club, the official letterwinners association of Texas Tech Athletics.

"This was truly an honor," Allison said. "The lessons I learned as a high school football player in Odessa, Texas, continue to make an impact in my life. My family and I couldn't be more grateful to have been included in the 2022 class of such a prestigious Hall of Fame."

Stafford was a letterwinner with Tech during the 1959-60 seasons after transferring from Midwestern State. He went on to play defensive end for the Philadelphia Eagles in 1962 and 1963. Prior to his time in Lubbock, Stafford received Waco Tribune-Herald Super Centex honors as a two-way player at fullback and linebacker for Temple High School.
