Live In-Game Updates: FINAL: Alabama 20, Longhorns 19

The Longhorns and Crimson Tide meet for a non-conference showdown in Austin.

AUSTIN -- The Texas Longhorns and No. 1 Alabama Crimson Tide are set for a non-conference square-off Saturday at Darrell K. Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium in Austin, as the 

It's the first time since the 2009 BCS National Championship that the two programs have met. The Longhorns fell 37-21, a game that lives infamously in the minds of Texas fans. Legendary Longhorns quarterback Colt McCoy was injured at the start of the first quarter and Texas was unable to keep 

Now, the Longhorns (1-0) are led by former Alabama offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian at head coach, as the 48-year-old preps for the biggest game in his second year at the helm. Texas won its first game 52-10 over the Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks. 

New Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers got off to a rocky start with an early interception against the Warhawks, but bounced back and finished 16 of 24 passing for 225 yards and two touchdowns. 

Longhorns running back Bijan Robinson had 10 carries for 71 yards and touchdown while adding three catches for 40 receiving yards and another score. He'll be looking for similar results against a tough Alabama defense. 

The Crimson Tide (1-0) come into this game after a dominant 55-0 win over the Utah State Aggies in Week 1. Alabama is led by reigning Heisman Trophy winner and junior quarterback Bryce Young, who gashed Utah State with six total touchdowns to begin the year.

The Crimson Tide will receive the opening kickoff. 

FIRST QUARTER: 

The Alabama offense and Bryce Young trot out onto the field. 

Tide running back Jahmyr Gibbs takes the first touch of the game six yards on the carry. 

Gibbs takes the swing pass and picks up the first down on a third-and-short. He catches another pass from Young and picks up 23 yards down the right sideline. 

After getting pressured on second down, Young connects with receiver Kobe Prentice for a 13-yard conversion on third down. 

Gibbs get his sixth touch of the drive on a outside handoff, but the Texas defense stops him in his tracks to bring up a 3rd and 7. 

The Longhorns held up, as Ovie Oghoufo gets the sack on Young. 

FIELD GOAL ALABAMA: Bama kicker Will Reichard connects on a 52-yarder to give the Tide an early 3-0 lead.

The Longhorns will begin their first offense drive at their own 25-yard line after a touchback. 

Texas tight end Ja'Tavion Sanders gets his first catch of the game on an eight-yard catch before Bijan Robinson picked up the first down on a short carry. 

Ewers connects with receiver Xavier Worthy on an 18-yard catch. He looked for Worthy on a deep shot for the next play but the pass fell incomplete. 

Again, Ewers unloaded a deep shot to Worthy, but he was unable to maintain possession in the end zone. 

Ewers connects with Jordan Whittington for the first down on third-and-short before finding him again for another solid gain. 

Ewers tried to connect with Sanders on a fade in left corner, but it falls incomplete.

FIELD GOAL LONGHORNS: Bert Auburn is good on a 26-yard field goal after a 16-play, 67-yard drive for Texas. The score is tied at 3-3 with 2:51 left in the first.

Alabama will begin its next drive at its own 19-yard line.

TOUCHDOWN ALABAMA: Tide running back Jase McClellan takes the first carry of the drive 81 yards untouched to the house. Alabama retakes the lead at 10-3.

Ewers connects with Whittington for two-straight completions, as Texas moves into Alabama territory. 

Ewers then finds Worthy on another long look, this time, for 46 yards. The Longhorns are knocking on the door of a bounce-back drive after allowing the big score from Bama. 

The Tide were called for a roughing the passer penalty, as Ewers laid on the ground in pain for over a minute after the play. 

He walked off and was replaced by Hudson Card. 

END OF FIRST: Alabama 10, Texas 3

TOUCHDOWN LONGHORNS: Bijan Robinson walks in from a yard out to tied the game at 10-10 after the Ewers injury.

Young fires a pass over the middle, but D'Shawn Jamison drops the interception to bring up third down.

Young connects with tight end Cameron Latu for a 14-yard gain on third-and-long. 

Jaylan Ford bursts through the line on the ensuing third down and sacks Young for a big loss. The Tide were forced to punt.

The Longhorns will begin their next drive at their own 15-yard line.

Robinson rushes for a seven-yard gain after the first-down penalty. 

Card scrambles for a first down on the next play. 

But three straight runs of next to nothing forced Texas to punt.

The Tide went three-and-out after Prentice dropped a ball that was behind him third-and-short near midfield.

Card connects with Worthy for a 15-yard gain for a first. He looked his way on the with a deep ball on the next play but the pass fell incomplete. 

The Longhorns punted after two more plays of no gain.

But the Tide went three-and-out despite the solid field position at their own 45-yard line.

Robinson take the handoff and runs for an 18-yard gain down the right sideline. 

Robinson then ran a deep route for a 42-yard gain, setting Texas up in the red zone.

Auburn then missed a chip-shot 20-yard field goal in the final seconds of the half to keep the score tied at 10. 

HALFTIME: Texas 10, Alabama 10

THIRD QUARTER

The Longhorns will receive the opening kick of the second half and will begin at their own 15-yard line. 

Texas was unable to do anything with the opening drive of the second half and were forced to punt after a three-and-out. 

Daniel Trejo's punt travelled all the way to the Tide 21-yard line.

Another Alabama drive, another three-and-out. The Tide punted to the Texas 44-yard line after Jaylan Ford and the Longhorns front continued to put pressure on Young.

The Longhorns also went three-and-out, but pinned the Tide at the one-yard line.

The Longhorns nearly sacked Young in the end zone for a safety, but he got the ball away in time to bring up a fourth down and an Alabama punt.

Texas begins its next drive at the Tide 40-yard line. 

FIELD GOAL LONGHORNS: Auburn makes up for his earlier miss with a 33-yard field goal that sails through the uprights. Texas takes a 13-10 lead midway through the third quarter.

The Longhorns were able to stop the Alabama attack yet again, thanks in large part to a personal foul on the Crimson Tide that nullified a first down run by Bryce Young. 

The Longhorns take over after the punt at their own 29.

END OF THIRD: Texas 13, Alabama 10

FOURTH QUARTER

FIELD GOAL LONGHORNS: Auburn nails a 24-yarded to extend Texas' lead to 16-10

Young scrambles for a 17-yard gain on third down to extend Alabama's first drive of the fourth quarter. 

The Texas defense forced an incompletion on third down, but the Tide went for it as Young found Ja'Corey Brooks for the conversion. 

TOUCHDOWN ALABAMA: Young scrambled to his left before rearing back and finding Gibbs for a seven-yard touchdown. The Tide took the lead back at 17-16.

The Longhorns couldn't respond after Bama's touchdown and went three-and-out.

Young begins the next drive with two completions, including a 21-yarder to Traeshon Holden. 

The Texas defense held strong against Bama on fourth down, forcing a turnover on downs as the Tide were knocking on the red zone.

Card completed an 11-yard pass to Roschon Johnson before slinging another pass to Casey Cain for a 29-yard gain.

FIELD GOAL ALABAMA: Bama kicker Will Reichard connects on a 33-yard attempt to give the Tie the lead with 10 seconds remaining.
