The Texas Longhorns have had no shortage of talented players hear their name called in the NFL draft, including several first-round picks. However, it has now been eight years since the last Longhorn heard their name called on day one of the draft.

That is likely to change this year, though, with most mock drafts having star running back Bijan Robinson go in the first round. Where he lands though is drastically different depending on which mock you look at.

In 247Sports' latest mock draft, they have Robinson going in the back half of the first round to the Los Angeles Chargers with the No. 21 overall pick. With current Chargers running back Austin Ekeler seeking a trade it could make Robinson a target with their first-round pick.

It isn't hard to see the appeal of Robinson in the Chargers offense, as the Doak Walker winner would add a new wrinkle.

Robinson rushed for 1,580 yards and 18 touchdowns in his final season at Texas, and while not as polished of a receiver as Ekeler still provides value in the passing game having recorded 19 receptions for 314 yards and two touchdowns.

While Robinson is seemingly a lock in the first round, he won't be only Texas running back to hear his name called - with running mate Roschon Johnson seeing his name climb up draft boards this offseason.

With Robinson heading out to the west coast, Johnson heads east to the Buffalo Bills with the No. 59 overall pick as both running backs join elite offenses.

Even though Johnson was the complement to Robinson at Texas, he is far from a slouch at the position. The quarterback-turned-running- back ran for 2,190 yards and 23 touchdowns in his four years as a Longhorn.

Johnson and Robinson were one of the best running back duos in college football and will have that success rewarded in the draft. Wherever they end up, though, they are ready to add their name to the storied history of Texas running backs in the NFL.
