AUSTIN, Texas -- The Texas Longhorns have revealed the gameday trailer for Saturday's clash with the BYU Cougars at DKR. The game will mark the first meeting between the two teams as Big 12 foes, but will also be the first-career collegiate start for Texas quarterback Maalik Murphy.

BYU (5-2) has its eyes on an upset, something the Cougars have been able to pull off in the past. BYU leads the all-time series 4-1, which included a 41-7 win in Austin during the 2014 season.

It's safe to say a win for No. 7 Texas (6-1) is no easy task.

Here's the gameday trailer:

The game is likely a big one personally for Texas coach Steve Sarkisian, who played his college ball at BYU. He helped lead the Cougars to a program-best 14-1 record in the 1996 season.

During that season, Sarkisian threw for 4,027 yards, 33 touchdowns and 12 interceptions on a 68.8 percent completion rate. BYU finished the year No. 5 in the AP Poll, its highest finish since winning the national championship in 1984.

“I jokingly said I would never have recruited myself as a player after watching the way I play,” Sarkisian said. “But you know, some great memories. I will say that we had a heck of a team my senior year and I had some awesome, awesome teammates and some great coaches.”

Texas and BYU have an interesting history. Add in Sarkisian's alumni status, and Saturday's game now becomes a more pivotal point in the season due to both the emotional and Big 12 implications.
