Texas Longhorns, Steve Sarkisian Call Out Iowa State Cyclones' Jarrod Hufford After Win: 'Little Guy!'

The Texas Longhorns brought the receipts after Saturday's win over the Iowa State Cyclones.

The Texas Longhorns clearly couldn't wait for Saturday's final conference meeting with the Iowa State Cyclones in Ames to end with a win.

Soon after Texas' 26-16 victory, Texas defensive lineman T'Vondre Sweat and Byron Murphy took to social media to clap back at Iowa State offensive lineman Jarrod Hufford, who said earlier in the week that the Longhorns have "egos that need to be checked."

The Longhorns allowed just nine yards rushing on 21 attempts.

"9 yards rushing … that’s all. Don’t write no check you can’t cash little guy," Murphy tweeted.

“9 rushing that’s tuff," Sweat tweeted.

Xavier Worthy joined in and tagged Hufford directly.

“Yea we got a ego fasho and we got culture and the talent too never be loud and wrong @JarrodHufford hope u had a good senior night though,” Worthy tweeted.

Texas coach Steve Sarkisian, who admitted he intentionally made Sweat and Murphy captains for the game, got in on the banter after the win.

"Making 90 and 93 captains was intentional," Sarkisian said. "You want to call out our culture, I wanted them to look those guys in the eyes at midfield.

"I don't know why you'd ever call them out ... that'd be the last thing I'd do getting ready to play us. But that was their choice to call them out and to call out our culture, quite frankly, that's how we took it."

Texas linebacker Jaylan Ford also tweeted out the direct quote from Hufford with nothing else attached. Here are Hufford's full comments:

"They get all the 5-star recruits and have all the nicest stuff in the world and they just think they don't stink," Hufford said. "They're just humans and that's how I see them. They're people that have such a high ego that need to be checked."

"It's going to be one heck of a farewell present. They are going to come in here on senior night in the dark. I don't think they really know what is going to be coming for them. We've beaten them 4 out of the last 5 times at home. They don't have a good record here."
