WATCH: Quinn Ewers Finds Adonai Mitchell For Easy Touchdown Against Houston

In this story:
Texas Longhorns football is finally back after what felt like an eternity-long bye-week.
The No. 8 Longhorns (5-1) took a road trip to visit a new Big 12 foe in the Houston Cougars (3-3), and with the hope to not only bounce back from their loss to Oklahoma but to start strong; they did just that.
Texas started the game with the ball, and it didn't take them a long time or a lot of effort to score on their first possession. The Longhorns charged down the field in 11 plays and a little under five minutes, with their drive ending in Quinn Ewers finding a wide open Adonai Mitchell for the score.

The score gave the Georgia transfer, Mitchell, his fifth touchdown catch of the season, while giving Ewers touchdown No. 12 on the season.
It also was positive for Longhorn fans to see Ewers start the game off by completing 7-of-8 passes after he started their game against Oklahoma with two early and costly interceptions. The score made the game 7-0 in favor of Texas, and the Longhorns were quickly able to get the ball back after Houston went three-and-out on their first drive of the game thanks to a dropped pass, a sack, and an ineffective play on third down.
Texas came into the game favored by as many as 23 points, and while they lost to Oklahoma they still can control their own destiny and make it to the Big 12 title game and maybe even the playoff.
