LOOK: Former Texas Longhorns Sam Ehlinger And Bijan Robinson Swap Jerseys After Game

Quarterback Sam Ehlinger and running back Bijan Robinson are two of the best Texas Longhorn players of the last decade and are now looking to thrive in the NFL.

During the Tom Herman era, Texas had one of the more underrated quarterback-running back tandem in all of college football.

Signal caller Sam Ehliner who was Texas' best and most consistent quarterback since Colt McCoy, was the focal point of the program for his four years in Austin. He was able to parlay his success in college which saw him throw for 11,436 yards passing with 94 touchdowns to 27 interceptions, while also rushing for 1,900 yards and 33 rushing touchdowns to an NFL shot. He was only able to play in nine games with star freshman running back Bijan Robinson who left Texas as one of their best running backs in what is a very illustrious history.

While Ehlinger was drafted in the sixth round following his career at Texas in the 2021 NFL Draft, Robinson was taken with the No. 8 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. Robinson left Texas having rushed for over 3,400 yards, while also accumulating 33 touchdowns on the ground eight receiving touchdowns.

Ehlinger's Colts faced off against Robinson and the Falcons on Sunday, as it was Atlanta and Robinson getting the win. However, after the game, there was nothing but smiles from the two former Longhorn stars.

Robinson rushed for a game-high 72 yards, and also added a game-high seven catches for 50 yards. As for Ehliner, he served as the backup for Gardner Minshew.

The Colts are set to take on the Raiders next week at home, while the Falcons who are still pushing for a playoff spot will head to Chicago to take on the Bears.
