AUSTIN, Texas -- The Texas Longhorns won't be a part of the new-look Big 12 Conference much longer, but both they and the rest of their conference foes are proving once again why the league is considered the cream of the crop in college basketball.

247Sports recently revealed its updated transfer rankings based on which teams have benefited the most from the portal this offseason. Tons of love was shown to both Big 12 mainstays and new members, as the rankings reflected why the conference has been regarded so highly.

Despite some uncertainty early in the offseason, the Longhorns slide in at No. 7 on the transfer team rankings. They are just one of four Big 12 teams in the top 10.

Here are the teams in the top 10:

1. Kansas Jayhawks (Big 12)

2. West Virginia Mountaineers (Big 12)

3. TCU Horned Frogs (Big 12)

4. Villanova Wildcats (Big East)

5. Arkansas Razorbacks (SEC)

6. St. John's Red Storm (Big East)

7. Texas Longhorns (Big 12)

8. Gonzaga Bulldogs (WCC)

9. Ole Miss Rebels (SEC)

10. Syracuse Orange (ACC)

Other Big 12 teams that missed out on the top 10 include the Oklahoma Sooners (No. 12), the Cincinnati Bearcats (No. 22), the Houston Cougars (No. 30) and the Texas Tech Raiders (No. 31).

The Longhorns have retooled their roster with the transfer additions of Max Abmas, Kadin Shedrick, Chendall Weaver and Ze'Rik Onyema. Coach Rodney Terry and crew are likely to add a few more new faces before the season begins, meaning Texas could potentially see its transfer ranking move up in the coming weeks.
