Texas Longhorns Remain Undefeated, Crushing Kansas Jayhawks 40-14

The top-three ranked Texas Longhorns stay undefeated as they roll past the Kansas Jayhawks 40-14 in an afternoon battle. Follow along for live updates and highlights.

The Texas Longhorns are riding high early on in the 2023 season, remaining undefeated so far and even knocking Alabama off its pedestal in Week 2. Now, they'll host Kansas in an afternoon battle at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium hoping to maintain their top-three position in the polls.

The Longhorns opponent this week isn't quite as formidable as the Crimson Tide was, but they'll need to remain focused if they want to enter Week 6 with a spotless record. That Saturday will see the Horns take on the Oklahoma Sooners in the Red River Rivalry, which may turn out to be the most important game of the year.

For now, Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian and his squad need to focus on handling the Jayhawks at home. Not only is this an opportunity to get a conference win, but also one to rest their starters and get reps for their depth.

It's imperative that the Longhorns continue to roll, as that momentum will carry to the end of the year when they'll need it most.
