The Texas Longhorns are coming off of a huge recruiting weekend in Austin, in which several five-star talents made their way to campus.

One of those talents was St. Louis University (St. Louis, MO) wideout Ryan Wingo, who currently sits as the No. 2 wide receiver and the No. 7 overall player in the country per 247Sports' recruiting rankings.

“That for sure could be a place I would go,” Wingo told On3 after his visit. “I think I feel comfortable there. I was able to see the campus more and talk with the players. The players, they won’t lie to you because they were just in my shoes six or seven months ago or two or three years ago. They obviously will tell me the real things about the school, so I think I could see myself there.”

Wingo's father was also extremely impressed with what Steve Sarkisian had to show during the visit, as well as wide receivers coach Chris Jackson.

"It was a great experience in Austin, better than the last time I was there for sure," Wingo's father said to 247 Sports. "I think what excites me is the offense and Coach Sark's way to get his receivers the ball. They are in a good spot."

That said, Texas is far from the only top program chasing after Wingo's elite athletic talents, with the 6-foot-2, 205-pound specimen also being pursued by the reigning national champion Georgia Bulldogs, The Alabama Crimson Tide, Michigan Wolverines, and his home state Missouri Tigers

Despite that, however, one thing is clear - the Longhorns are right in the thick of his recruitment.

“I’m not too far into a top schools list yet, but I like them because I took an OV there and I’m not going to go just anywhere for an OV,” Wingo told On3. “It was a good visit.”
