UCLA Football: Timeline For News On Chip Kelly's Bruins Future Revealed

Will the Bruins be searching for a new head coach?

Will UCLA Bruins head coach Chip Kelly return to Westwood for another season?

That's the golden question and now there is some clarity to his future.

Kelly interviewed with the NFL's Seattle Seahawks on Tuesday for their open offensive coordinator position.

He has also been tied to Ohio State, Boston College, Las Vegas Raiders, and Washington Commanders.

In six seasons at UCLA, Kelly is 35-34 and his job will become a lot tougher with the Bruins moving to the Big Ten.

"We first heard about Kelly's potential interest in a return to an NFL role in December, and there has been buzz in agency circles for a while that Kelly's intention was to find a good fit to make his return to the NFL, even taking a psuedo-demotion by moving from a head coach position at UCLA to a coordinator role."

David Woods, Bruin Report

It was rumored late in that season that Kelly was on the verge of being fired but after a win against crosstown rival USC, athletic director Martin Jarmond assured Kelly that his job was safe.

There are too many questions and not enough answers for this turbulent offseason surrounding Kelly but hopefully, Friday will bring a little bit more clarity to the fuzzy future.
