UCLA Men’s Basketball: Mick Cronin Looking To Spanish Trip To Help Build Chemistry
There is a lot of noise surrounding your UCLA men's basketball team as their 2023-2024 season creeps closer and closer and even though they've had stacked rosters in years prior, the general consensus around their incoming squad is that it will be one of their versatile and skilled ones ever.
With multiple talented names on their way in such Aday Mara, Sebastian Mack, Devin Williams and more, they should be able to hold their own against anybody. Even with the FIBA World Cup and some health complications making it difficult for UCLA's entire team to come together at the moment, head coach Mick Cronin is confident that the team's upcoming ten day trip to Spain will allow them to start getting a feel of each other's games.
In an interview with the Los Angeles Times, Cronin expressed excitement to see them take the court and confirmed that he had plans for this trip to take place this summer!
“Some people go over and they’re worried about winning or losing and I could care less,” Cronin said. “I hope all three teams are really good and it’s an opportunity for us to get better.”
Cronin said he saved the international trip that college teams can take once every four years for this summer because he knew it would provide an opportunity for extra teaching that’s needed with so many young players as part of a massive roster overhaul.

Something important about Cronin's comments is that he is strictly focused on development during this time period and is not too concerned about stacking up their wins column.
He knows the potential of this group and likely wants to try out as many different lineups as possible!
