UCLA Men's Track: Bruin Wins Gold At U20 Outdoor Championship

Representing the school!

A number of UCLA's athletic programs have been on a tear over the past few weeks. Both the men's and women's basketball teams have been able to secure some excellent roster additions while getting workouts in, the golf teams also have been able to bring in some very experienced coaches and the men's track team has been active in their recent tournaments.

With there being so many aspects and different competition categories within the sport of track and field, the Bruins scouts have to be extra precise when it comes to keeping an eye out for talent. However, it's looking like Michael Pinckney is growing into one of their most successful athletes.

Pinckney won gold in the recent 2023 USATF U20 Outdoor Championships in the hammer throw category. UCLA's Track & Field Twitter account posted a celebratory graphic along with footage of the gold-winning throw by him!

Pinckney has done nothing but improve during his time with the Bruins and it's great to see all of his hard work coming full circle.
