New UConn Head Coach Jim More spoke to the media this morning to discuss the incoming class of 2022 for UConn football. Coach Mora gave a rundown of the players who have committed to UConn and showed excitement in the good blend of potential and experience the class has. "We're not pitching anything - we bring them here for 48 hours and show them who we are," said Coach Mora regarding the type of recruiting style he used to lock down the class of 2022. Coach Mora was very adamant that the goal is to prepare these young men for the future. He talked about everyone on the staff buying into their vision for what UConn football is and will become.

The recruiting trail has led Coach Mora all over the country as of late. Building relationships with high school coaches and parents of the players is very important.

"This is my state now, and this is my school as well. And I've been inspired, and I can't wait for the challenge" - Coach Mora on the process since being named Head Coach.

While it is a promising looking class, it is still incomplete. Coach Mora alluded to more work being done and laying the groundwork for becoming a hard-working football program. The clear desire to be competitive against the best competition in college football will be music to the ears of the fans of the UConn football program. It has been a struggle for UConn football lately, and they have not had a winning season since 2010. The work is cut out for Coach Mora and his players. If they want to return to prominence and back up the talk of competing with the best, then it is time for the Huskies to get to work.
