The NBA preseason is underway, as former North Carolina star Vince Carter beginning his 22nd season in the league and rookie Coby White is already creating highlights just a few games into his pro career.

Carter, the ageless wonder that he is, is still making the highlight reel, too, but in a slightly different way than he's done for most his career.

Along with veterans like Reggie Bullock and Wayne Ellington continuing their careers in New York, Luke Maye is fighting to carve out a roster spot with Milwaukee, or at the very least, show enough to earn a spot with the club's G-League team.

After winning his second NBA title with the Toronto Raptors last season, Danny Green moves on to Los Angeles and will figure to play a major role in the Lakers' pursuit of a championship.

Also expected to contend in the Western Conference, Utah added Ed Davis as a free agent, while Tony Bradley is expected to make a major jump after another strong Summer League performance.

With 16 players on NBA rosters at the moment, Carolina ranks third among college programs, trailing Duke (25) and Kentucky (32).
