In Friday night's 73-24 blowout home victory over North Moore High School (N.C.), Northwood (N.C.) sensation Drake Powell tallied 10 points, 10 rebounds, and 11 assists while shooting 5-for-8 from the field. Impressively, the 2024 UNC basketball signee did so without committing a single turnover.

According to a post on social media from the team's account, the efficient performance marked Powell's first triple-double as a prep.

Although the following recent highlights aren't from Friday night's outing, the caption from Elite Mixtapes' Bryce Lanning, pointing out the future Tar Heel's versatility, sure aged well in the light of Powell's triple-double:

Here's a look at that triple-double effort, evidence of Powell's underrated playmaking in the open court:

On Thursday, the 6-foot-6, 195-pound chiseled forward, No. 9 overall on the 247Sports 2024 Composite, landed on the 25-deep midseason watchlist for the Naismith Boys' High School Player of the Year Trophy. The other five-star in UNC's 2024 class, Our Saviour Lutheran (N.Y.) guard Ian Jackson, also survived that cut.

Along with Link Academy (Mo.) four-star center James Brown, Powell and Jackson inked their national letter of intent with the Tar Heels during the early signing period in November.

Those three comprise the nation's No. 7 haul in the 2024 cycle, per 247Sports.

Powell, whose school is only a 20-minute drive from the Smith Center, became the first 2024 UNC basketball recruiting prize when he committed to Hubert Davis and his staff back in September 2022.
