This week, 247Sports national recruiting insider Adam Finkelstein listed seven 2025 recruits to keep an eye on when it comes to the possibility of reclassifying to 2024. Two of those seven are UNC basketball offer holders in Link Academy (Mo.) five-star guard Jasper Johnson and Overtime Elite (Ga.) five-star forward Bryson Tiller.

And Johnson, a 6-foot-4, 170-pound southpaw sharpshooter who ranks No. 12 overall on the 247Sports 2025 Composite and recently named UNC among the top 10 in his recruitment, is on tap for an official visit with the Tar Heels this weekend.

He'll attend Saturday night's battle against archrival Duke in the Smith Center alongside a fellow 2025 visitor and prime UNC basketball target in Holy Innocents Episcopal School (Ga.) five-star forward Caleb Wilson.

Johnson recently reiterated that he plans to remain in the 2025 class. However, he's done so without completely shutting the door on the idea of entering the college ranks next season.

As for Tiller, a 6-foot-9, 240-pound explosive bruiser boasting a No. 8 composite ranking among current high school juniors, he didn't include the Tar Heels in his first batch of visits but hasn't publicly ruled them out of contention. Plus, he's hinted that more trips to check out his long list of suitors are in the works.

For now, UNC's 2025 wishlist consists of nine five-stars. Meanwhile, the Tar Heels' 2024 haul features three early signees in Our Saviour Lutheran School (N.Y.) five-star guard Ian Jackson, Northwood High School (N.C.) five-star forward Drake Powell, and Link Academy four-star center James Brown, teammate to Jasper Johnson.
