Harvard-Westlake School (Calif.) forward Nik Khamenia is now on the radar of UNC basketball head coach Hubert Davis and his staff, according to a post from 24/7 High School Hoops this week.

The 6-foot-8, 200-pound stretch-four listed the Tar Heels among the programs he's been hearing from the most. Cal, Gonzaga, Illinois, Kansas, Oklahoma, Southern Cal, UCLA, and Virginia are the others he mentioned.

Thus far, Khamenia has landed roughly a dozen offers and taken one official visit: to Gonzaga back in early October.

Although he's only a four-star prospect ranking No. 37 overall on the 247Sports 2025 Composite, his stock appears to be on the rise after exhibiting his expanding skillset at the recent talent-rich Hoophall Classic in Massachusetts.

Here are On3 recruiting insider Jamie Shaw's takeaways from watching Khamenia become the MVP of a game at the prestigious event:

"While Nik Khamenia did not have a flashy game, it was very efficient and to the point. [He] simply knows how to play. He had a matchup against [five-star 2024 Rutgers signee] Ace Bailey. Defensively, Khamenia held Bailey to 10-24 shooting from the field. He did a good job cutting off lanes and showing anticipation. While Khamenia might not be the quickest, he has a natural feel.

"Offensively, Khamenia used pace and feel to get to spots in the half-court. While going 0-5 from three, he finished around the basket and with floaters in the paint. You like the versatility he brings to the table, as a quick processor. He finished with a team-high 21 points, eight rebounds, and two steals in the overtime win."

Currently, UNC basketball's 2025 offer sheet consists of nine five-star recruits. They all sit among the nation's top 15 high school juniors, per the latest update to the composite rankings, and remain undecided in their recruitments.
