USC Basketball: Familiar Face Now Odds-On Favorites To Land Bronny James

As the upcoming NBA Draft gets closer, one of the biggest storylines that many will watch for is what USC freshman guard Bronny James will do regarding his basketball future. James recently declared for the NBA Draft but left his college eligibility open by entering into the transfer portal.

James didn't have a great freshman year with the Trojans but has some value if he chooses to enter into the NBA. Being the son of NBA legend, LeBron James helps him but Bronny also is an athletic guard, who has shown good skills on defense.

If he does indeed enter the NBA Draft, there will be a handful of teams that are interested in taking him. According to FanDuel Sportsbook, the team with the best odds to select James is none other than the Los Angeles Lakers. His dad plays for the Lakers, giving thought that the historic NBA franchise could look to draft James to pair with his dad.

If Bronny were to be taken by the Lakers, it would fulfill a dream that his dad has had for years. LeBron has been very vocal about wanting to play alongside his son but has taken things down a notch with the reality potentially getting closer.

The Lakers may not be the best landing spot for Bronny in terms of his development, but he would get to stay in Southern California and play for a legendary organization. This will certainly be something to watch moving forward but the appeal of Bronny entering the NBA seems more real every day.
