USC Basketball: Trojans Will Face 2023 Elite 8 Team In '23-'24 Season Debut

Your new and improved USC Trojans will kick off a season away from their home arena, the Galen Center, for the first time in a decade this year, when they'll square off against a 2022-23 Elite Eight club, the Kansas State Wildcats.
According to a USC press release, the Trojans will begin their 2023-24 run at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, a neutral site on November 6th.
"We are looking forward to opening the year playing at the Hall of Fame Classic on Nov. 6 in Las Vegas, Nev.," head coach Andy Enfield is quoted as saying in the statement. "It will be an exciting atmosphere at T-Mobile Arena and is the perfect way to start the 2023-24 season."
As the statement notes, USC's new recruiting class is ranked fourth in the nation. The group is headlined by potential 2024 first round NBA draft prospects Isaiah Collier (a possible top five selection) and Bronny James, who beyond being the son of Los Angeles Lakers legend LeBron James is also considered a possible mid-first round draft.
USC finished last year with a middling 22-11 record and didn't make it past the Round of 64 in the NCAA Tournament. Kansas State holds a 4-1 all-time advantage in head-to-head matchups with the Trojans.
In 2022-23, the Wildcats finished with a 26-10 record and a three-seed for the Big Dance. The club ultimately fell in a narrow 79-76 upset to the Florida Atlantic Owls, a real team.

Tell Alex, were you in the joint the night Wilt scored 100 points? Or when the Celtics won titles back-to-back and didn't give nobody no kind of slack?
