Though USC has been known to produce a bevy of talent in the past 10 years, one name stands out among all the Trojan greats from previous seasons.

Former one-and-done superstar Evan Mobley was mentioned by FanSided analyst Joey Loose as the Pac-12 conference's 6th best player of the past decade for his time as a Trojan.

During his freshman season,

Mobley

averaged 16.4 points and 8.7 rebounds for the Trojans. He had numerous double-doubles, a pair of 26-point performances in the Pac-12 Tournament, and led USC into the Big Dance. Mobley shot just under 62% from the field on the year and also averaged 2.9 blocks per game. He performed like a 5-star recruit and was a major part of USC’s stellar season. After leading the conference in points, rebounds, and blocks, Mobley swept the awards, winning Pac-12 Player of the Year, Rookie of the Year, and Defensive Player of the Year. He was also named a Second Team All-American and was honored for his work taking the Trojans to the Elite Eight.

Taken third overall after his lone collegiate season, Mobley has already starred for the Cleveland Cavaliers in his young NBA career.

Making First-Team All Rookie in 2022, Mobley decided such a great achievement for his first year in the NBA wasn't a good enough first impression to the pro leagues.

Mobley proceeded to finish third in 2023's Defensive Player of the Year voting one of the league's very best rim protectors so early in his career.

Despite a rough playoff series against Mitchell Robinson and the Knicks, Mobley's pedigree speaks for itself and the sky seems to be the limit for the former freshman standout.

Pairing with Jarrett Allen, Darius Garland and Donovan Mitchell, Cleveland's chances in the East will be great so long as the former USC standout is a part of their equation.
