In this story:

Any time that a lot of big names commit to one certain school, all attention will now naturally shift to them and we are seeing that happen in real time with your very own University of Southern California Trojans.

USC was able to hit the lottery as they landed the number one ranked player in the nation in Isaiah Collier who is already projected to be a lottery pick in the 2023 NBA Draft and will be looking to light up the Pac-12 immediately. They also landed Bronny James, arguably the most popular college basketball player heading into next season, and he will be continuing his career after four seasons at Sierra Canyon High School.

Therefore, even though the Trojans were solid in 2022, they fell in the first round to Michigan State and Boogie Ellis and a couple of other key contributors will be running it back as they look to play further into the year.

So how does USC look on the betting board compared to other squads to win it all? Let's take a look at what college basketball trader Cameron Drucker had to say.

"Southern Cal opened at +4000 in odds to win the 2023-24 NCAA Tournament. James’ decision to attend USC came in early May, and the Trojans are currently among a gaggle of teams at +3000, making them the co-15th choice at BetMGM. Arguably more important than the Bronny decision, USC landed point guard Isaiah Collier, the No. 1-ranked high school senior last season. But unlike Michigan State, bettors aren’t really buying much into USC’s stock at this point."

"It doesn’t appear that way. There’s not a ton of action on USC thus far," Drucker said. "They are an interesting team, as they certainly do not lack for talent. Outside of Bronny, they did bring in Collier. They also return an electric scorer in

Boogie Ellis

and landed

DJ Rodman

from

Washington State

out of the transfer portal."

Let's see how these predictions play out!
