USC Women's Basketball: JuJu Watkins Notches 12th FOTW Honor
The USC Trojans have retained their top 10 spot in the AP rankings this week, as they are holding strong at #10 in the country. A big reason behind this is freshman phenom JuJu Watkins, who continues to showcase her unreal ability.
Watkins has now logged her 12th Freshman of the Week honor and now holds more than half of those honors that have been awarded to the Trojans.
Watkins has been on an absolute tear this year, setting records in her wake. She has the most FOTW honors in USC history, scored the most points in USC history with 51 against Stanford, and has logged FOTW and POTW honors in the same week multiple times.
Watkins is on another level in terms of the NCAAW, and it will be hard to not see her going #1 overall in the WNBA Draft.
The Trojans stumbled a bit, but have picked up three of their last four games. They are set to go on a deep run in the NCAA Tournament, and we imagine Watkins will be at the heart of that. Each week she continues to showcase her elite skills, and she appears to be getting even better.
We can't wait to see what record she breaks next.
