USC Football: Caleb Williams' Decision to Attend NFL Draft Announced

USC football quarterback Caleb Williams will officially be in attendance at the 2024 NFL Draft. The NFL announced Williams will be one of 13 players in attendance at the draft in Detroit, Michigan on April 15.

Williams will join 12 other confirmed prospects, including Washington wide receiver Rome Odunze, LSU WR Malik Nabers, LSU QB Jayden Daniels, LSU WR Brian Thomas Jr., Ohio State WR Marvin Harrison Jr., North Carolina QB Drake Maye, Alabama cornerback Terrion Arnold, Alabama offensive lineman J.C. Latham, UCLA defensive end Laiatu Latu, Toledo CB Quinyon Mitchell, Missouri DL Darius Robinson and Alabama linebacker Dallas Turner.

The decision to attend the draft will allow Williams to be there in person when his name is called and come up on stage to celebrate the next step in his football career. There are several players who opt to watch from home or another location, but Williams will be in Detroit.

Williams is widely expected to be the first player taken off the board in this year's draft, by the Chicago Bears. The former Heisman Trophy winner is considered one of the top quarterback prospects to come out of the draft in recent years. During that Heisman season, Williams threw for 4,537 yards, 42 touchdowns and five interceptions. He led the FBS in passing touchdowns and won AP College Football Player of the Year along with several other prestigious awards. He followed that performance up by throwing for 3,633 yards, 30 touchdowns and five picks in 2023.
