USC Football: Trojans Make Offer to 4-Star Wideout

The USC Trojans are looking to bounce back this coming season after a very disappointing 2023 year. The Trojans finished a lackluster 8-5 on the season, including their bowl win over Louisville.

Head coach Lincoln Riley knows that the pressure is on him entering this season and he has spent all offseason working to build things back. This includes manuvering the roster and preparing for the future of the program.

The Trojans recently offered a spot to a 4-star wide receiver out of Maryland. Romero Ison is a six-foot, 170-pound receiver, who is ranked as the No. 86 wide-out in the 2025 class and the No. 15 player from Maryland.

This past season, he posted over 2,600 yards of total offense with 69 catches and 20 touchdowns. He has offers from multiple other schools, including Penn State, Florida, Boston College, Kentucky, Michigan State, Syracuse, Virginia Tech, Indiana and Pittsburgh, among others.

The Trojans present a unique opportunity to potential prospects. They will be playing in the Big Ten going forward but will call Southern California home. Many players are going to enjoy living in Southern California while playing in some of the biggest games around the country.

This is another advantage the Trojans could have, especially when it comes to a player like Ison. USC is looking to bolster their receivers moving forward, giving them more depth across the lines.
