USC Trojans Football: Caleb Williams, O Line Land Tasty NIL Deal With Postmates

Star quarterback Caleb Williams was featured on PostMates' Instagram account in a student discount promotional video. Accompanying Williams in the advertisement were USC offensive linemen Jarrett Kingston, Michael Tarquin, Emmanuel Pregnon, Justin Dedich, and Jonah Monheim.

Williams has displayed an impressive season thus far for the Trojans, amassing 2,277 yards, 30 Touchdowns (23 passing and 7 rushing), just 5 interceptions, all while riding a 70% completion percentage. It's been reported everywhere that Caleb Williams is viewed as the best player and will likely be the first overall pick of the 2024 NFL draft, should he declare.

With the recent explosion of NIL partnerships in the past 12 months, it's become a brand college football experience from the player's perspective. For the top of the top in college, they can expect earnings in the 7 figures if they do it right.

And Caleb Williams is doing it right.

On3 currently ranks him as the 5th most valuable college. The highest earner, USC Hooper Bronny James, has a valuation of over double that of Williams.

Williams has also partnered with Dr Teals and has been featured on a ton of Wendy's Fast Food commercials. In the big picture, he would likely make more money in the long run should he declare for the NFL draft after this season. But right now, Caleb is in a position that no quarterback in the history of college football has ever been in. He is probably making enough money that could make any reasonable person at least wonder "what if I stay another year?". Things one might consider during this process could be "where would I develop as a football player faster?" and "what sort of money would I miss out on over the span of my career if I get drafted to a rebuild team".

Sadly, Williams may have already completed the most meaningful game of his college career. Losing to Utah all but crushes their chance of reaching the college football playoffs this year.
