In this story:

Lost in all of the issues that your USC Trojans have seen on the defensive side of the ball is the fact that the USC offensive line has been very poor of late. It has caused some uncharacteristic issues for this normally dominant offense, and we saw it play out against Notre Dame last week.

If quarterback Caleb Williams doesn’t get time to throw the ball, it causes real problems for this team. They are built with the offense in mind, and when they can’t do their jobs, the Trojans are in trouble.

One writer believes that if things don't improve, the Trojans will need to make some needed changes before it's too late.

'Josh Henson’s position as offensive line coach should not be in jeopardy to the extent that Alex Grinch’s position should be in jeopardy, but we do have to see if this offensive line will improve over the next few weeks."

As USC gets ready for the Utah Utes this weekend, they will need to be ready to go. Utah has a good defense that likes to get after the quarterback, so the Trojans offensive line will be tested early and often.

The key is going to be communication for this offensive line. They need to make sure that they know which sets are being run and make sure they pick up any blitzes that come their way.

"If we see notable improvements on this line in the next few weeks, Henson should certainly be given the chance to coach under Riley in 2024 as the Trojans move to the Big Ten. If USC’s offensive line continues to play poorly, Henson should not be guaranteed a thing."

Per Matt Zemek of Trojans Wire

The Trojans still have a very tough schedule down the stretch of the season, with both Oregon and Washington on the docket. The clock is ticking for this Trojans team to make changes. and if they don't, it will be another wasted year.
