USC Football: 13 NFL Teams Sent Scouts To Caleb Williams, Bo Nix Showdown

These two NFL hopefuls showed up in front of NFL scouts

The USC Trojans' aspirations for a championship season have taken a substantial hit, with last night's defeat against Oregon as the final blow to their dreams. The Trojans got ransacked by the Ducks, 36-27, marking their fourth loss in the last five games.

As the team grapples with a season that has taken an unexpected turn, attention now shifts to star quarterback Caleb Williams, who is eyeing the NFL in the 2024 draft.

Projected to be the number one pick, Williams and Oregon's Bo Nix attracted the gaze of 13 NFL team scouts who made the trip to Eugene to witness their performances live.

While Williams didn't have his most stellar game, completing 19 of 34 passes for 291 yards with one passing and one rushing touchdown, Nix showcased his skills with an impressive display. Nix threw for four touchdowns, amassed 412 yards, and completed 23 of 31 pass attempts, boasting a remarkable QBR of 96.

Despite an off day for Williams, his overall season has been a testament to his capabilities. While another Heisman might not be in the cards, he has consistently demonstrated the potential to be the number one pick in the draft and serve as a franchise-changing quarterback.

As the Trojans regroup for the future, the focus will undoubtedly be on Williams and his journey to the NFL, where he aims to make a significant impact at the professional level.
