USC Football: Caleb Williams Makes Decision on Combine Appearance

Caleb Williams details his plans for his final pre-draft workout.

The world waited a long time for Caleb Williams to announce that he was declaring for the draft. The USC Trojans QB waited until the final day that upperclassmen could declare to announce that he would be heading to the pro level.

While many are now eagerly waiting to see Williams appear at the NFL Combine, he has now revealed his decision to work out there.

While speaking to longtime college football analyst Pete Thamel, Williams revealed his decision to forego working out at the combine.

"Williams said he is not going to work out at the combine but will throw at USC's pro day on March 20. He is also not planning to do medical testing at the combine but will do that in his individual visits with teams."

For those waiting to see Williams throw during the Combine, they will have to wait until pro day to see him sling the ball. Even stranger is that Williams will also not be doing his medical testing at the Combine either.

To be fair, Williams is one of the most sought-after college acquisitions in history, so we imagine that he will want to handle the situation in his own way. Williams has already stated he will enter the pros with no agent either.

Williams might know exactly what he has to offer which is why he does not have to play by the normal rules. Rather, the rules that most people go along with are ones that he does not intend to abide by.

Either way, Williams will be featured during USC's pro day.

Williams also finally spoke about his excitement to be drafted, and all but silenced the noise that he and his camp would attempt to get out of being drafted by the Chicago Bears.

Williams revealed that he would be excited to be drafted by the Bears or whichever team trades up to possibly select him #1 overall.

The excitement around Williams is warranted, and the world will have to wait until March 20 to see him throw the ball around a final time before being drafted.
