The anticipation has already begun, with the new college football season only a few weeks away. It's one of the best times of the year, as hope instills across the country,

For the USC Trojans, they have championship expectations this season. They have reigning Heisman Trophy winner Caleb Williams back and are ready to lead the high-powered offense again.

The defense should be better this season as well, with the addition of some transfers. USC almost made the College Football Playoff last year with an indigent defense and will look to improve this year.

As the season gets going here soon, predictions have started to come out for the bowl games. One expert sees the Trojans having a very successful season, even if they don't reach their ultimate goal.

Jerry Palm of CBS Sports has the Trojans making a New Year Six Bowl Game and has them facing off against the Boise State Broncos.

"Boise State is the projected participant from the Group of Five. I have the Broncos in a place that brings back fond memories as they are expected to face the final Pac-12 champion, USC, in the Fiesta Bowl"

Per CBS Sports

Palm also has the Trojans winning the Pac-12 conference, which is nice. But if they were to make a New Year Six Bowl Game, the season would be considered a failure.

It's title or bust for the Trojans this season, and the fans are awaiting another memorable season.

USC needs to make at least the College Football Playoff for the season to be considered a minor success. But anything less than a title will be tough to swallow for this program.

There are heavy expectations for the Trojans this season, but that is the territory out in Southern California. Everyone involved understands this and is ready to prove people wrong.

USC could be in line for a very fun and exciting season. They just need to go out and execute to make their goals come true.
