USC Football: Fans Weigh In On Ex-Trojans DC Alex Grinch's New Job

In this story:
Former USC Trojans defensive coordinator Alex Grinch, who was so disappointing this season that his friend Lincoln Riley was essentially compelled to offload him with two games remaining on his team's slate (D'Anton Lynn was eventually poached from UCLA to replace him long-term), has somehow landed on his feet fairly quickly.
He will be remaining the Big Ten in 2024 (keep in mind, that's where USC is headed), as Grinch has signed on to serve as a safeties coach for the Wisconsin Badgers.
Perhaps predictably, NCAA fans and pundits have weighed in with some, uh, colorful comments on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter.
Presumed new starting USC quarterback Miller Moss was seen as possibly one of the big beneficiaries of seeing his old coach on the sidelines elsewhere given that, you know, not a lot of fans are confident in his defensive acumen:
Alex Grinch to Wisconsin is great for Miller Moss

One insider seemed to be shockingly optimistic about the fit:
Couple things on #Badgers hiring Alex Grinch.

-He's a good teacher. You don't get to the positions he has without having those skills.
-Has every reason to be motivated for career refresh starting at Wis.
-USC offense-first focus makes being DC tough.https://t.co/BJ6ZaYnrLL
Another fan shredded Grinch, replete with some video evidence:

One fan proved fairly confident that, with reduced responsibilities, Grinch would be motivated to show he's still got the goods as a coach:
I've got no problem with Alex Grinch as safeties coach. He's not the DC and he has a lot to prove. He needs to rebuild his standing to what it was that got him DC jobs at Wazzu, Ohio State, Oklahoma, and USC. I also like that he will bring new recruiting connections to the staff.

Another fan was apoplectic about the hire, laying blame at Badgers head coach Luke Fickell:
I get Tressell will be running the defense but what part of Alex Grinch's run as USCw's DC led Fickell to think "this is a good idea" I want to be open minded but I do not care for it

Tell Alex, were you in the joint the night Wilt scored 100 points? Or when the Celtics won titles back-to-back and didn't give nobody no kind of slack?
