USC Football: How Miller Moss Feels About His Current Nickname

It's Miller Time?

USC starting quarterback Miller Moss is on top of the world. Before making his first college football start on Wednesday in the Holiday Bowl, people outside of USC weren't familiar with the name. Three hours, 42 points, and six touchdowns later, the college football world is very familiar with Moss and his game.

Miller showed up and showed out. If we didn't know any better, we would have thought he was a veteran in this game. Moss was so exceptional that people devised a nickname for the redshirt sophomore: Miller Time.

It's common for those with the Miller name, but Moss believes people could devise a better one for him.

The phrase "Miller Time" comes from the Miller beer and is a common saying in American culture.

Miller certainly didn't disappoint in his first start of his career, completing 23 of his 33 passes for 372 yards and going berserk with six touchdowns that happened to be a USC and Holiday Bowl record. Oh, and he tied a Pac-12 record with those tuddies.

Moss is here to stay; the only question now is whether he will be the guy moving forward for the Trojans. That's for Lincoln Riley and staff to decide. Moss certainly did his part in showing he deserves the QB1 spot.

And if he is the man next season, we'll need to come up with a better nickname for Miller.
