USC Football: New AD Jennifer Cohen Has a Singular Task When It Comes to The Football Program

In this story:
The USC Trojans made a major announcement on Monday, bringing in Jennifer Cohen as the school's new athletic director. Cohen comes over from the University of Washington and is ready for the challenge of leading the Trojans.
During her introductory news conference, Cohen laid out her plan for the program. It included her vision for it all, but only one thing she needs to do for the football program.
Keep Lincoln Riley happy and in the city of Los Angeles. That's it. As long as he is here, the Trojans football team should be a powerhouse once again.
“It’s Cohen’s job to get Riley over the hump, consistently winning Big Ten titles and contending for national championships. That’s it.”
Per The LA Times
As long as the football team wins on the field, things will be smooth for Cohn. The demand for football excellence at USC is among the best in the country.
“At USC, it always comes back to this: If Cohen gives Riley what he needs, USC donors will gladly give her what she needs.”
Per The LA Times
Cohen and Riley should work together well. They both want to see the Trojans succeed at the highest level, and that is all you can ask from the people in charge.
She replaces Mike Bohn, who reportedly had some issues during his tenure. And now, it will be her responsibility to help guide this program. Bohn helped get Riley to Southern California, and now it's Cohen's job to keep him there.
The Trojans' leadership move was a needed one. It's good that it happened prior to the start of the football season, as now everyone can just focus on the tasks at hand.
USC will be making its way to the Big-10 after this season, something that Cohen will need to help map out. She is more than capable of doing so, and the school couldn't be more excited to have her leading the charge.
