Your USC Trojans will go into the 2023 season with some high expectations, expectations they haven't had in a very long time. The expectations are warranted and earned thanks to the addition of head coach Lincoln Riley and his transfer QB from Oklahoma, Caleb Williams

Many pundits and experts doubted the Trojans going into the 2022 season, and they shattered through that ceiling. Now people are aware that USC is back, and they have a quarterback who could be the number one pick in next year's NFL Draft.

Williams is expected to carry USC to new heights and lead his team to the promise land. It's no doubt that he is the best QB in the country due to his phenomenal skills, ability to make something out of nothing, and his dual-threat ability. Because of all these skillsets and more, he's garnered comparisons to the best quarterback in. the NFL today, Kansas City Chiefs' own, Patrick Mahomes.

NFL Draft analyst for ESPN Matt Miller said that many NFL scouts are comparing Williams's game to Mahomes'.

“NFL scouts are already looking at Caleb Williams at USC and saying, ‘That looks a lot like Patrick Mahomes did at Texas Tech,'” Miller said. “It also looks a lot like Patrick Mahomes does for the Kansas City Chiefs. Not only is it that elite-level arm strength, but it is the ability to escape, to create on the go, to get out of muddy pockets. He’s always keeping his eyes downfield. He’s never rattled.

"There’s a lot of playmaking from Caleb Williams,” Miller continued. “You’re going to want to stay up late on Saturdays to watch him play because he is truly special.”

Williams is that dude, and he proved it in his sophomore season at USC. Aside from the numbers, Caleb has all the tools to have another Heisman-type season and ball out at the next level.

His arm strength, escapability, and ability to create on the move are like none other aside from Mahomes. The 21-year-old has that It-factor that any NFL team would be lucky to select.

We can't wait to see where he leads USC in 2023, and I know he will have great success in the NFL.
