USC Football News: Heisman Trophy Winning QB Among Top 16 QB Transfer List

The USC Trojans undoubtedly have a superstar on their hands in Caleb Williams and he is projected to have a long, successful NFL career ahead of him. There are few sports teams like USC that you can truly pinpoint and say that they have similar histories of winning unless you turn your attention to professional squads and Williams will be a huge part of continuing that this season.
We all saw Bryce Young go number one in this most recent draft and Williams will look to continue that trend of quarterbacks being selected first overall. Let's hope that he makes this season with the Trojans very special and if it's anything like his 2022 campaign where he threw for over 4,500 yards on 333 completions, it will be quite the show.
And to think that he transferred from Oklahoma is pretty wild. Brad Crawford of Bruin Report put together a list breaking down all of the greatest transfer quarterbacks of all time and Williams placed number four just behind Cam Newton.
"Newton enrolled at Auburn in 2010 and led the Tigers to their first national championship since 1957. Along the way, Newton completed passes at a 66.1% clip for 2,854 yards with 30 touchdowns and seven interceptions. Newton was a physical runner that accounted for 1,473 rushing yards and 20 touchdowns. The Carolina Panthers saw enough of Newton to make him the No. 1 overall pick in the 2011 NFL Draft. Four years later, he was league MVP and playing in the Super Bowl."

We cannot wait to see him on the field again!
