USC Football: Where LA Memorial Coliseum Ranks On New List Of Top 10 Stadiums

LA Coliseum gets snubbed

The Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum is one of the most iconic stadiums in all of America.

Opening in 1923, the Coliseum could be responsible for East Coast sports' migration to the West Coast during the 20th century.

The stadium currently hosts USC Trojan football games but is also a venue for NASCAR, exhibition MLB games, and concerts.

With all the great things about the LA Memorial Coliseum, one media outlet snubbed the stadium from the Top 10 Greatest College Football Stadiums.

The list featured other historic stadiums throughout college football. The Big House in Michigan has the most fans in the United States.

Bryant Denny Stadium in Alabama is known for its electric atmosphere, and Beaver Stadium at Penn State has a reputation for its white-out.

Even with all these great stadiums placed in the top 10, USC was still snubbed.

The Coliseum has seen Super Bowls, World Series, and international soccer matches.

The one downside to the Coliseum that may be in consideration for this list might be the environment.

The Coliseum is known to have low energy if the Trojans are not having a successful season or if the opponent is not good.

In a season like this one, with the reigning Heisman playing quarterback for USC and the Trojans in the top five, the stadium is nearly full every game.

While they may have been snubbed from this top 10, the LA Coliseum still needs some recognition for its greatness.
