USC Football: WR Mario Williams Makes a Bold Prediction for Upcoming Season

In this story:
The start of the new college football season is just days away. Week Zero is quickly approaching, and it’s a time of pure excitement for teams all across the country.
The USC Trojans will be partaking in the first weekend as they get ready to take on the San Jose State Spartans. It will be the first step toward their ultimate goal of winning a National Title.
The Trojans almost reached the College Football Playoff a season ago and now bring in high expectations as the season progresses. They brought back reigning Heisman Trophy winner Caleb Williams, and the offense is ready to rock again.
There is no lack of confidence from this Trojans team as the season begins. Wide receiver Mario Williams recently made a bold claim about how he expects the season to go.
“We’re going to win a national championship. Nothing less, nothing more”
Per Preferred Walk-On
If the Trojans are able to win the championship, it would mean their goals have been reached. This is truly a title or bust season for USC, so the pressure is on.

Head coach Lincoln Riley is in his second season with the team, and this is his chance to make his mark with his program. He wants to be the coach that leads them back to the promise land, somewhere this program hasn’t been since the early 2000s.
This is the team. This is the season. They have unfinished business after how last year ended, so it’s up to them to go out and take what they want.
It won’t be easy, but they have the firepower to make it happen. The fans are expecting a successful season, much like the players. It’s a rare combination of faith that you don’t get often around college athletics.
USC is back on the map. But now they need to go out and prove themselves worthy of that.
