USC Players Respond to Week 1 Opponent's Social Media Swipe

And they took that personal

The USC Trojans are on the brink of facing their arch-rivals, Stanford Cardinal, marking what could be the last meeting for a considerable time, a bittersweet moment for both schools. However, before we delve into the highly anticipated matchup, there's some chatter about USC's Week 1 opponent, the Nevada Wolfpack.

In a 66-14 victory, the Trojans left no doubt about their dominance against the Wolfpack. USC's MarShawn Lloyd and L Simpson recently appeared on Caleb Williams' podcast, where they couldn't resist discussing a playful video shared by Nevada on their social media platform leading up to the game.

“There was a TikTok made from Nevada football. We didn't incite them to do or say anything; they just so happened to post about USC football for no reason. It was a TikTok-like, ‘What are you posting it for?’ It’s of them dancing and stuff and skipping. We felt a little disrespected; I felt a little disrespected."

The video has since been removed from Nevada's social media accounts, but as we all know, the internet can preserve such moments indefinitely.

The Wolfpack asked for the smoke, and they got it.

Lloyd added his sentiment to the video on the podcast.

"I was going to do that dance when I got my first touchdown, but I didn't want to get a flag."

The USC players couldn't help but reflect on this video, but now the job is done, and they will move on to their rivals.

It all starts tomorrow, and hopefully, they can put the same whipping on the Cardinal as they did on the Wolfpack.
