Hanging in the living room of my grandparents’ home was a picture of a scoreboard. Fourth quarter, 5:49 left, third-and-10.

USC, 55. Notre Dame, 24.

Inevitably, my eyes always glazed over to that 49-0 second half. I’d see this image on my way out to school each morning and when I returned home in the afternoon. Long before I learned the marvelous details of “The Comeback” I was sold -- USC is special.

Fast forward a few decades, and the bulk of my writing career involves USC. I started school there when Pete Carroll arrived and have been fortunate to chronicle just about every significant moment since. Like many fans, I feel like I’ve grown up with the Trojans. There’s no subject I enjoy writing about or discussing more. I’ve technically been doing it for 16 years but really it’s been my entire life.

That’s why, after five seasons at Rivals, I’m excited to announce I’ve partnered with Sports Illustrated Media to launch a new USC-based website. Needless to say, I’m honored to have the opportunity to continue covering one of college football’s blue bloods for one of the most iconic brands in sports media. Perhaps most appealing is that Maven's innovative platform allows me to freely connect with the USC community and tell the Trojans’ stories without a paywall.

As I’ve done for years now, I’ll be providing daily, wall-to-wall coverage on the USC football program with breaking news, analysis, commentary, features, videos, podcasts and, of course, tons of exclusives. Best of all, there’s no sign up fee. Just visit the page and enjoy the content.
