USC Football: 2024 Stanford Commit Expresses Interest in The Trojans

The Trojans are attempting to persuade a 4-star tackle out of Huntington Beach to committing to Stanford.

The Trojans are actively recruiting players throughout the season and currently have their eyes locked on a 4-star tackle from Huntington Beach, Justin Tauanuu.

Tauanuu is a 6'6, 270-pound offensive tackle who verbally committed to Stanford back in June. However, as of recently, the young player is still officially decided between being a Cardinal or a Trojan.

"Right now, I'm still flipping between SC and Stanford," he said. "Even though I'm committed to Stanford, I've still be talking with SC.""Even though it's so late in the recruiting process, they've shown that they really want me there," he said. "They've kind of made me like a priority for them, too."

Tauanuu has said that recently, interest has been building up between the Trojans and himself, and it seems as though the USC coaching staff is making him a priority, which is very valuable before Tauanuu makes this big step for his future in football.

At 6'6 270, Tauanuu has incredible size already and will most likely continue to grow and build muscle within any college program, and acquiring quality tackles for any team is at the forefront of their recruiting class objectives.

If performance and track record could sway Tauanuu in deciding between the school, Stanford currently sits at 2-5 and is second to last in the Pac-12, while the Trojans are 6-2 and second in the Pac-12.

USC would also be closer to where Tauanuu is playing right now in Huntington Beach, only being around 30-40 miles away from each other.

The Trojans currently have six senior offensive linemen so an opening for a possible starting spot is most likely on the table for Tauanuu if he decides to commit to USC.
