The USC Trojans will lose their former five-star recruit from the 2022 class, center Vincent Iwuchukwu.

Tobias Bass of The Athletic announced via X that Iwuchukwu will enter the NCAA's transfer portal.

Iwuchukwu spent two seasons as a Trojan. After Andy Enfield grabbed the seven-footer player from San Antonio, Texas, in 2022, things looked up for the program. However, due to a multitude of roadblocks, including a cardiac arrest he suffered in the summer of 2022, he never panned out to be the player USC had hoped for when they recruited him. In his Cardinal and Gold career, Iwuchukwu put up only 5.4 points per game, 3.4 rebounds, 0.5 assists, and 0.7 blocks.

The former five-star recruit was supposed to lead the Trojans to new heights. Instead, he'll look for a new school heading into his junior season. Under former head coach Enfield, Iwuchukwu started 11 games for the Trojans this past season and five games the season prior.

The seventh-footer played high school basketball at Southern California Academy. He finished as the number four center in his class and the number five player out of California when his high school career was over.

Significant changes have already occurred at USC, as Iwuchukwu becomes the fifth player to transfer since the start of the cycle. We will see plenty of new faces on the court for the Trojans when the new season arrives in November.

Hopefully, it's for the better.
