Odell Beckham Jr. was as thrilled as anyone to watch his former school, the LSU Tigers, win the National Championship. Perhaps he was a little too excited, as Beckham was caught on camera handing over money to LSU receiver Justin Jefferson. The video gained a lot of steam online and prompted LSU to release a statement saying that the money wasn’t real. SI’s Robin Lundberg asks SI’s legal analyst Michael McCann if this is the ideal coverup if Beckham did, in fact, pass out money to the LSU players.
