Virginia Baseball Rankings Roundup: May 15th

A week off for final exams seems to be just what the doctor ordered for the Virginia baseball team, which turned in a perfect 4-0 record last week in its final four home games of the regular season. The Cavaliers shut out Radford 8-0 to become the first college baseball team to go undefeated in non-conference play since 2015 and then earned a much-needed series sweep over Louisville this weekend.
After losing three-consecutive ACC series, UVA has now won six games in a row and has begun to move back up in some of the college baseball media polls. The Cavaliers have reclaimed spots in the top 15 in the latest rankings from Baseball America and the USA TODAY Coaches Poll and are back inside the top ten according to the Collegiate Baseball Newspaper. Other outlets kept the Hoos at the same spot in their rankings.

Virginia (41-11, 16-11 ACC) will look to keep the momentum going in the final ACC series of the regular season on the road at Georgia Tech this weekend. Game 1 is set for Thursday at 6pm in Atlanta.
