Former Virginia guard Armaan Franklin is returning to his home city of Indianapolis on Wednesday to participate in a NBA pre-draft workout with the Indiana Pacers, the team announced on Tuesday afternoon.

Franklin will work out alongside some familiar faces as Notre Dame forward Nate Laszewski and Miami guard Isaiah Wong will be among the NBA Draft hopefuls participating in Indiana's third prospect workout, which will take place at the Pacers Training Facility at St. Vincent Center in Indianapolis.

A 6'4", 200-pound shooting guard, Franklin appeared in 68 games for the Cavaliers over the last two seasons after transferring from Indiana. Franklin was Virginia's leading scorer at 12.4 points per game last season and also averaged 4.1 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game. He shot 42.4% from the floor and 37.3% from three-point range.

Franklin is the third Cavalier to work out with an NBA team during the pre-draft process, joining Kihei Clark and Reece Beekman. Clark also returned to his home state of California to work out with the Los Angeles Lakers last Friday, while Beekman worked out with the Portland Trail Blazers. It is likely that Beekman has worked out with other NBA teams as well, but there haven't been any other confirmed workout reports. Beekman has until May 31st at 11:59pm ET to make a decision on whether to keep his name in the NBA Draft or to withdraw and return to Virginia for another season.

The 2023 NBA Draft will be held on June 22nd at Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
