Refreshing Virginia's List of Transfer Portal Targets

In this story:
More than 700 men's basketball players have entered the NCAA transfer portal since the end of the season. With Virginia losing three players to the transfer portal (Francisco Caffaro, Isaac Traudt, Kadin Shedrick) and at least three more to graduation (Kihei Clark, Jayden Gardner, Ben Vander Plas), the Cavaliers are expectedly diving head first into the transfer portal looking for quality roster additions.
As of March 29th, UVA has reportedly reached out to 16 players in the transfer portal (and likely others that haven't been reported), but four of those targets have since announced their commitments to other programs. Here are the latest players Virginia has made contact with in the transfer portal:
UVA is one of several schools to make contact with North Carolina's Will Shaver, a 6'10", 260-pound freshman forward out of Birmingham, Alabama. Shaver appeared in only three games as a true freshman for the Tar Heels. Per 247Sports' Dushawn London, Shaver has heard from Virginia, Florida, Nebraska, Clemson, Vanderbilt, Colorado, Liberty, UAB, and other schools and has plans to visit Florida, UAB, Belmont, and Liberty so far.

McMillian has appeared in 91 games over the last three seasons and averaged 10.9 points per game on 44.4% three-point shooting last season.

A 6'10" junior from Finland, Amzil averaged 9.3 points and 4.8 rebounds and shot 44.2% from the field for the Flyers this season.

UVA is part of a long list of programs expressing interest in Illinois freshman Jayden Epps. Epps had 14 points on 6/13 shooting with a pair of three-pointers in Illinois' loss to Virginia in Las Vegas back in November.
