UVA Basketball: Schedule and Matchups Announced for Fort Myers Tip-Off

The official matchups and schedule have been unveiled for the Beach Division of the 2023 Fort Myers Tip-Off. Virginia will take on Wisconsin in the first semifinal on Monday, November 20th at 6pm ET and then West Virginia will face SMU in the second semifinal at 8:30pm ET at Suncoast Credit Union Arena in Fort Myers, Florida. The third-place and championship games will follow at 6pm ET and 8:30pm ET, respectively, on Wednesday, November 22nd and all of these games will be broadcast on FS1.
UVA and Wisconsin have faced each other six times all-time, with four of those games coming in the last 12 years. Virginia holds a 4-2 all-time record against Wisconsin and the Cavaliers have claimed three of the last four meetings with the Badgers. Wisconsin went 20-15 overall last season and missed the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2018.
Here's what Virginia's non-conference schedule looks like for the 2023-2024 season (home games in bold):
November 10th: Virginia vs. Florida [Charlotte, NC]
November 14th: Virginia vs. North Carolina A&T
November 16th: Virginia vs. Texas Southern
November 20th at 6pm: Virginia vs. Wisconsin [Fort Myers, FL]
November 22th: Virginia vs. SMU/West Virginia [Fort Myers, FL]
November 29th at 7:15pm: Virginia vs. Texas A&M [ACC/SEC Challenge]
December 5th: Virginia vs. NC Central
December 16th: Virginia vs. Northeastern
December 19th: Virginia at Memphis
December 27th: Virginia vs. Morgan State
Of those ten reported non-conference matchups, three have been confirmed on Virginia's official schedule for the 2023-2024 season:
November 10th: Virginia vs. Florida [Charlotte, NC]

November 29th: Virginia vs. Texas A&M [ACC/SEC Challenge]
Virginia has officially confirmed the game against Florida as part of the "He Gets Us" 2023 Hall of Fame Series on Friday, November 10th in Charlotte. The Spectrum Center, home of the Charlotte Hornets, will host a men's college basketball triple-header on November 10th with Charlotte taking on Liberty, Virginia battling Florida, and Virginia Tech taking on South Carolina. Tip-off times for those three games will be announced at a later date.
