Virginia Basketball Bracketology Update: NCAA Tournament Projections

Less than a month remains until Selection Sunday for the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament. No. 7 Virginia (19-4, 11-3 ACC) is trending up in the latest bracketology projections after defeating NC State and Duke last week.

ESPN's Joe Lunardi still has UVA as a No. 3 seed, but CBS's Jerry Palm and the NCAA's Andy Katz have moved the Cavaliers up to the 2 seed line. See a summary of each expert's latest bracketology forecast below:

Joe Lunardi - ESPN

Joe Lunardi has Virginia as the No. 3 seed in the East Region, facing No. 14 Colgate in the first round. Lunardi has seven ACC teams currently projected to make the NCAA Tournament: No. 3 Virginia, No. 5 Miami, No. 8 NC State, No. 9 Duke, No. 9 Pittsburgh, No. 11 North Carolina (last four in), No. 11 Clemson (last four in).

Jerry Palm - CBS

Jerry Palm has Virginia as the No. 2 seed in the East Region, facing No. 15 Vermont in the first round. Palm has six ACC teams currently projected to make the NCAA Tournament: No. 2 Virginia, No. 5 Miami, No. 7 Duke, No. 9 NC State, No. 9 Pittsburgh, No. 11 North Carolina.

Andy Katz - NCAA

Andy Katz has Virginia as the No. 2 seed in the East Region, facing No. 15 Vermont in the first round and he has UVA as the No. 8 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament. Katz has eight ACC teams currently projected to make the NCAA Tournament: No. 2 Virginia, No. 5 Miami, No. 8 Duke, No. 9 NC State, No. 9 Pittsburgh, No. 11 North Carolina, No. 11 Clemson (last four in), No. 11 Wake Forest (last four in)
