Virginia Basketball Bracketology Update: NCAA Tournament Projections - 2/21

See where the bracket experts have the Cavaliers in their latest college basketball March Madness projections

With just four games left in the regular season, we march ever closer to the release of the 68-team bracket for the 2023 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament on March 12th. Virginia (21-4, 13-3 ACC) is currently ranked No. 6 in the AP poll and the NCAA Selection Committee ranked UVA as a No. 3 seed and the No. 10 overall seed in its top 16 teams released on Saturday. 

In the latest NCAA Tournament projections, ESPN's Joe Lunardi and CBS's Jerry Palm have Virginia as a No. 3 seed in the South Region. See a summary of each expert's latest bracketology forecast below: 

Joe Lunardi - ESPN

Joe Lunardi has Virginia as a No. 3 seed in the South Region, facing No. 14 Colgate in the first round. Lunardi lists UVA as the No. 10 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament. Lunardi has five ACC teams currently projected to make the NCAA Tournament: No. 3 Virginia, No. 5 Miami, No. 6 Duke, No. 8 NC State, No. 9 Pittsburgh, North Carolina - first team out

Jerry Palm - CBS

Jerry Palm has Virginia as a No. 3 seed in the South Region, facing No. 14 Yale in the first round. Palm has five ACC teams currently projected to make the NCAA Tournament: No. 3 Virginia, No. 5 Miami, No. 6 Duke, No. 7 NC State, No. 9 Pittsburgh, Wake Forest (first four out), North Carolina (first four out)
