Tony Bennett and the Cavaliers have extended their first reported scholarship offer for the recruiting class of 2025. Bryson Tiller, a five-star power forward and one of the top five overall prospects in the 2025 recruiting class, announced on Twitter on Friday afternoon that he received an offer from Virginia.

A 6'9", 210-pound forward from Atlanta, Georgia, Tiller already boasts an impressive list of scholarship offers despite just finishing his sophomore year of high school. Virginia and Cincinnati jumped in the fray with offers on Friday, joining Georgia, Georgia Tech, Auburn, Michigan, Florida, Houston, Indiana, Missouri, Ole Miss, Stanford, Xavier, and others.

Tiller played his freshman season of high school basketball at Pace Academy before becoming the first sophomore to ever sign with Overtime Elite, a professional basketball league for 16-20 year olds based in Atlanta. In his first season with Overtime Elite (OTE), Tiller helped his team City Reapers win the OTE Championship, scoring in double figures in all three championship games, including a 15-point, eight-rebound performance in the final game. Tiller averaged 11.5 points and 6.9 rebounds per game and had five double-doubles this season.

247Sports rates Tiller as a five-star prospect, the No. 4 power forward in the class of 2025, the No. 4 overall recruit in the country, and the No. 1 player in the state of Georgia.

Although the focus of the UVA coaching staff is almost entirely on the 2024 recruiting class, which is currently entering the apex of its recruiting cycle, it seems Tony Bennett and company are making Tiller an early priority in their efforts for the 2025 recruiting cycle, which makes sense given the amount of attention Tiller is already receiving as one of the top prospects in his class.

On the 2024 recruiting front, Virginia currently has active offers out to 11 players in the recruiting class of 2024:

PF Jarin Stevenson (Pittsboro, NC)
CG Jaeden Mustaf (Matthews, NC)
SG Jayden "Juke" Harris (Salisbury, NC)
SF Caleb Williams (Washington D.C.)
SF Isaiah Abraham (Warrenton, VA)
SG Rakease Passmore (Asheville, NC)
SF Kon Knueppel (Milwaukee, WI)
PG Daniel Freitag (Minneapolis, MN)
PG Travis Perry (Eddyville, KY)
C Thomas Sorber (Philadelphia, PA)
C Patrick Ngongba II (Fairfax, VA)
